Feeling Raine’s arm drape around her shoulders, Kiki took a bit of time before settling in, hugging her back. In all honesty, she had a feeling she’d be walking back to Bradwell just as soon as she reached Raine’s door. She felt horrible having to deal with the fact that she played a huge part in why Raine and Josh ended. Though she didn’t like that Raine could forgive Josh before forgiving her, she totally understood why the brunette would be so upset. Remaining silent in the hug for a quick moment, Kiki finally gathered her thoughts, apologizing also. “Me too. Even more so than you should be,” she nodded, pulling back from the hug so she could look at Raine. “I um… sort of ruined everything,” she trailed off, not so sure of what else she should say or do other than apologize.
“It’s over with. Let’s just put Cancun behind us.” Raine stated, moving out the way so Kiki can walk inside. “Everyone makes mistakes. I was just angry at the time, but I’m over it now. What’s done is done.”
Once they were inside of the room, Raine walked into the kitchen and grabbed herself a drink. “Make yourself at home, I basically almost every drink you can imagine in the fridge.” She walked over to her bed and sat down whilst sipping her drink. “How are you? It’s been awhile…” She sighed, wondering if their friendship could go back to the way it was before. Her and Josh seemed to be going back to normal - well except for the making out and excessively flirty comments he always gave her. Other than that, things were great and it was nice to finally make amends with Kiki.
“I’m human, I’m not perfect. I make mistakes all the time, but I guess my job is to keep those mistakes to myself, which I’m already fine doing and just try to be the best I can be for those kids”.
“Two weeks? Damn, but you’re on.” He said confidently, the waitress requesting his drink order. Ordering himself a coke he placed the order for the appetizer as well as a large mozzarella pizza for the two of them. “If I win then I get anything I want? I think for now I’ll keep my ideas to myself because if I told you then you’d take back the bet.” Arching his brow he smirked at her, playing restlessly with the napkin before him. His nerves were still as shaky as ever when it came to Raine but this time he had them for a whole different reason. In the back of his mind he wanted to tell her that if he won then she had to give him another chance, but he wasn’t too sure how that would boil over. Maybe he could make her jealous and go out with another girl? Then again that could completely back fire, but the thought was still there. “So, tell me how you feel about graduating. It’s coming up pretty soon.”
“I don’t think you’ll win. I’ve already got a tactic planned out,” Raine laughed, after she listened to him order their food. “But best of luck to you,” she stated, knowing full well that he’d need it. It was natural of Josh to give out compliments like it was nothing and she knew he’d slip up one of these days. “I’m actually excited to graduate… And then of course I’m sad. I’ve met so many amazing people this year, and I really don’t know what I’ll do without seeing their faces so often. But I’m proud of myself, I’ve gotten through this year with amazing grades and not to mention I’ve adjusted pretty well with the whole school thing.”
“Do you think you’ll be able to handle it without me?” She asked him, twisting around the ring on her finger.
Kiki honestly had no clue when the last time was when she had a decent conversation with Raine Channing. The night Raine heard about Kiki and Josh going behind her back, the two girls talked a bit, but even then there were just a few quick and bitter words exchanged. With everything that happened, she and Raine completely stopped talking and tried to avoid each other. If the blonde was being 100% truthful with herself, it bothered her, no matter how much she tried to not think about their breaking out. She had tried to get Raine to understand and listen to her, but soon enough she got tired of talking and it seemed like the same had happened with Raine. They both had just given up it seemed.
Scooping up her phone, Kiki sent a text out to Raine, letting her know she was on her way. She wasn’t looking for permission. If Raine wanted to see her or not, she was heading over Billings to at least explain herself and maybe fix things. Exiting her room in Bradwell, Kiki crossed campus, taking the almost too familiar path to the Billings building. Reaching the tall brick building in a few short minutes, she traveled up the stairs and to Raine’s room, knocking on the door.
Focusing on her calculus homework, Raine scratched her head, trying to figure out when the hell she was ever going to need derivatives and integrals. She didn’t really care at the least, school was the last thing on her mind. Pushing her calculus books away, Raine rested her head on the desk, hoping to get a quick nap. She was so tired of school already, it was a lot different than the daily schooling she got when she was back home or on tour. That always went by quickly, but normal schools lasted at least seven hours - and she was too antsy for that.
Hearing the beep on her iPhone, she picked up, seeing a message from Kiki letting her know that she was on her way. Rereading the name, her eyebrows formed into an arch. She hadn’t heard from Kiki in weeks, it seemed like the strong friendship they had formed this year was gone for good. But maybe Kiki didn’t think so. It was the end of the school year anyways and maybe they could be on good terms. It didn’t seem like such a bad idea. She heard a knock on the door and opened it up to see the blonde standing in front of her. Well - what the hell, she couldn’t hold a grudge forever. Raine walked up to Kiki and wrapped her arms around her tiny shoulders. “I’m sorry.”

Ruby let out a loud laugh and looked at Raine, she seemed pretty normal standing in front of her. “I’m taking that as a compliment…I don’t really fit in with people but, its part of highschool I guess..not fitting in” she shrugs tryint to seem nonchalant about the fact that people didn’t like her much since she wasn’t rich or gorgeous or snotty. “Its a cool experience though, how long have you been here? Do you away for tours?” She asks curiously and excited about one of her favorite artist’s life.
“Fitting in is so overrated,” she laughed. “I’m sure everyone else feels the same as you do. But I sure as hell wouldn’t want to fit in here. It’s good to be different. Leave your mark on this school,” Raine stated. Sure she didn’t know exactly how Ruby felt, but she sure as hell knew what it felt like to have people not like her. She had millions of haters all over the world, but then again she had the most dedicated fans so that made things so worth it. There was always going to be people who didn’t like you for what you did, but hey, she had amazing people in her life. She wouldn’t trade them for anything. “High school is definitely a different experience for me. I’ve been here since October. But I really like it, you know. It’s not what I’m used to but it’s great here. I got to meet amazing people, live a normal life, and hide away from the press.”

No compliments, Josh noted in his mind. He couldn’t help himself though, they just came naturally but he would do his best to control the urge. “I swear I think you would marry food if it were legal,” the brunette boy joked as he indecisively glanced through the menu. “I say we just get one of their pizzas. I mean they sound fancy but I’m sure they’re amazing.” Josh shrugged his shoulders and slid the menu away from him and looked at her.
The boy took a drink from the complimentary glass of water, “so do you really not want me to compliment you? I did that long before we were ever together, it’s kind of a habit.” He laughed, biting his lip out of nerves.
“Let’s bet. You can’t give me a compliment for the next two weeks. If I win, I want you to take me to Canada and be my personal tour guide. Come to think of it… it’s not that bad. But whatever, what do you want if you win?” She asked, the waitress coming to the table and asking for what they wanted to drink. She ordered a Dr. Pepper and waited for Josh’s order. She watched as the waitress walked away and looked over at him. “I would definitely marry food if it was legal. I would have to marry tacos and Tirimisu cake. God, that sounds so good right now. I could do for some cake…” Raine stated, mentally singing the annoyingly catchy song Cake.
